Enhancements & Bug Fixes:
Fixes the issue with firmware update 6.2.3/6.3.3 that can make the NAS inaccessible when used in an Active Directory/Domain setup with duplicate group names.
Fixes the issue with iSCSI that sometimes it does not reconnect automatically after reboot or network disconnection.
Fixes the issue with Active Directory username that has multiple words with spaces in it.
Fixes the issue that Mac cannot find Time Machine backup disk after upgrading from 6.2.2/6.3.2 to 6.2.3/6.3.3.
Reports app upgrade failure properly, previously it only reports error if it is a first-time install.
Deployment Notes / Limitations:
Wake on LAN (WOL) will not be supported on the ReadyNAS 4220 at this time using the 10GbE port. Use the 1GbE port for WOL.
There is no error message presented in the local admin GUI when the USB key is missing from the system for encrypted volumes. The LCD display will present a message that the USB key is missing.
If the USB key is missing for encrypted volumes, the user has to wait for a 10 minute timeout. After the timeout, the encrypted volume will appear as inactive in the local admin GUI.
If a FLEX-RAID volume has be expanded, the volume cannot be switched back to X-RAID mode.
If you wish to remove a USB storage device, you should first eject the drive in the local admin GUI before removing the USB device from the ReadyNAS to prevent errors on the file system of the USB device.
ReadyNAS 102, 104, and 2120 only support creating iSCSI LUNs 8TB and smaller.
ReadyNAS 102, 104, and 2120 only support volumes up to 16TB.
ReadyNAS devices updated to ReadyNAS 6.2.0 or later cannot be downgraded to ReadyNAS 6.1.x or earlier.

前回(6.2.3)は、Release Date April 22, 2015なので、約1週間後という短期間での登場。
ファームウェアをアップデートするには、ブラウザで管理画面にログインし、クリックして進めるだけであり、何も難しいことはない。

ReadyNAS OSは、多数のファームウェアのアップデートが行われてきており、安定性が増している。
私の環境では、24時間365日、常に通電し続けている状態だが、必要な時だけ電源がONになるパワータイマーや、遠隔地から電源をONにできるWake On LAN(WOL)にも対応しているので、それを活用すれば省電力を目指せる。

私は4台版(RN10400-100AJS)を使用しているが、2台版や6台版も存在する。
・2台版：RN10200-100AJS
・4台版：RN10400-100AJS
・6台版：RN31600-100AJS
NASを積極的に使っていると、ファイルが溜まっていき、やがて容量不足になる。

ファイルを放り込むのはラクだが、片付けるのは面倒だからね。
ただ、部屋とは異なり、ハードディスクの整理に時間を裂くのは無駄なので、どうせ組むなら、容量の大きいハードディスクかつ多台数にすべきだ。
中途半端に2TBなんかで組んでしまうと、不足した際に困ることになる。
ディスクを交換するにしても、組んでいる構成を解除する必要があり、そのデータを他に逃がす必要があるからだ。
NASを再構成するために、別のNASを買う、ということになってしまう。
最初から大きく組んでおけば、満杯になるまでの余裕が生まれる。
8TB(HUH728080ALE600)のハードディスクが登場しているが、入手性と価格なら、やはり6TB(WD60EZRX)だろうね。
HGSTの8TB(HUH728080ALE600)には、ディスク回転時の空気抵抗を減らすためにヘリウムが封入されている。
ヘリウムを封入し、ディスク回転時の空気抵抗を減らし、大容量化を図る技術を、HGSTでは「HelioSeal」と称している。
